AT THE HEART OF IT

I began boating the St. Croix River and inland lakes about 20 years ago. When I discovered Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands it was clear to me that this place was the utopia of boating! After all, boating to me was being able to go where you couldn't typically go! and there was over 750 miles of open water dotted with beautiful islands with hardly a human in site.

Growing up in the UP of Michigan for a brief stent, I would travel across Wisconsin to get back to Minnesota. While traveling along US 2, I would always see the Brown sign, "Apostle Islands National Lakeshore", and knew someday I would go there.

When I finally planned for that day I brought my little 17 foot open bow Glastron boat up there. I'll never forget it! The water was like glass. I couldn't have picked a better day to go for my first time.

Now this was before I had GPS and before smart phones existed. Therefore I stuck close to shore so that I wouldn't get lost in this huge, amazing, boating utopia.

Towering sandstone stood above emerald green water with caves of all different shapes and sizes with water splashing and crashing underneath, as you got closer to the cliffs and the water became more shallow you could see the bottom of the lake, big boulders alongside Rippled sand. It was as if, this is what I had been looking for my whole life! More adventure!!!

Long story short I proceeded to take friends and family up here for the past 15 years and discovering something new every time. It was a no brainer for me to be up here getting paid to do what I love #DreamJob.

Becoming the first woman Ice Team Pro, then Clam Pro, Vexilar pro,  Northland Tackle Pro and working for SKS guides all led the way to me obtaining my captains license so I could take you on a jaw dropping, life changing, memory making, excursion experience at the apostle islands!

let the adventure begin!

LIVE YOUR TIME LINE!
